DKUK is here for all hair textures and styles. No idea is too outrageous or ‘boring’, no question is too silly, and our pricing is gender neutral. We strive to be more sustainable and ethical and are proud to stock carbon-neutral and vegan products.
All haircuts begin with an in-depth consultation with your stylist to collaborate on the perfect haircut for you. Your hair will be washed with our products and you will be offered an optional head massage. Once the cut is complete your hair will be dried (with either a brush or diffuser) and styled as you wish.
You should never feel rushed either with our 1-hour appointment slots for haircuts. So sit back, relax and enjoy sipping on our wide range of refreshments while you enjoy the art around you. Our styling team will work their magic and reveal the final look in front of a mirror at the end of your service.
Mirror-Less Haircuts
People go to the hair-salon for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons is to feel good about themselves. But only 10% of our clients said they enjoyed sitting in front of a mirror... which is why we are here for the rest of you! Instead, our clients sit in front of art in a calming and caring atmosphere.
Talk-Free Haircuts
We celebrate all personality types at DKUK, prioritising making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. There is never any pressure to be chatty. You can even book a ‘Talk Free Haircut’. During your consultation, the stylist will ask you how you would like your hair - but after that, your ears can relax!
Pay What You Can
We want to give everyone the chance to experience our unique mirrorless approach, so new clients visiting us for the first time can either pay the usual amount or Pay What You Can on appointments booked Monday to Friday from 12-4pm with our stylist level. Long Hair
It's fair to say we are experts when it comes to cutting and styling long hair - and ensuring it always looks fabulous and healthy.
If you feel your long hair doesn't suit you, it might just take a few tweaks to make it look great. Adding some layers without taking away from the length too much, or giving it a better shape may be all that's needed to take your hair from drab to fab.
We always recommend you come in for a trim or reshape every eight weeks to cut away any split ends - and long hair can always benefit from a hair treatment every month or two to keep it shiny, nourished and healthy.
Our stylists can also give you advice if you want to grow your hair - especially when you get to the in-between stage where it's neither long nor short!

Afro Hair Experts
When it comes to curly hair, we are experts in cutting, colouring, relaxing and braiding afro hair types. There is an art and skill to cutting curly and textured hair so come on in and chat to our afro hair expert about what we can do to help with your locks.
With our cornrow braiding, we can add extensions to your natural hair to give you versatility in length, colour and styling. This is a convenient way to switch up your look if you want a low-maintenance style.
Your hair must be in good condition, and this service is suitable for all hair textures with lengths from 4-5 inches.
Our extensions can last from 2-4 weeks depending on your hair texture, and we recommend a weekly scalp cleanse to avoid build-up.
Please note: Chemical services and protective styling are currently only available on Wednesdays with Wendy.
