DKUK is pleased to announce the opening of Ben Washington’s Territory Appendage in June 2015. Washington has created a landscape of interconnecting sculptural pieces – a collection of abstracted architectural forms which respond to the spatial dynamics of the DKUK salon. Hairdressing clients also face a digitally rendered 3D environment instead of a mirror, in which they can explore these architectural forms on a monumental scale. Washington’s work builds up a collage of physical and virtual spaces for visitors to negotiate.

Ben Washington (b. 1981) recent exhibitions include: Dazed and Confused Emerging Artist Award, London (2013). Geometric Figuring, The Nunnery Gallery (2013); Dienstag Abend take over Art Review, Art Review offices, London (2013) Arcade Peckham, Peckham, South London Gallery off-site space, London (2013); Losing is for Winners, Schneiderei, Vienna, Austria (2012) and The Private Citizen, Galerie Dana Charkasi, Vienna (2010).
