We are looking for a new leader to join our unique, creative salon team. At DKUK, we are more than just a salon. We are a groundbreaking fusion of self-care, art, and

Role: Floor Manager
Start Date: 14th July 2025
Location: DKUK, 191 Queens Rd, Peckham, SE15 2NG
Pay: £28,000 - £34,000 per year (pro-rata for 40 hours/week)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule:
- Monday: 08:45 - 17:30 (45 min lunch)
- Wednesday: 08:45 - 17:30 (45 min lunch)
- Thursday: 12:30 - 20:15 (45 min lunch)
- Friday: 08:45 - 17:30 (45 min lunch)
- Saturday: 08:45 - 18:15 (30 min lunch)

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of a lively salon, supporting 6 stylists and 2 apprentices.
- Lead by example on the salon floor, resolving issues calmly and maintaining high standards.
- Plan rotas, manage diary flow, and ensure optimal client and stylist scheduling.
- Handle reception duties: welcoming clients, managing bookings via Slick software, phone answering.
- Coordinate purchasing and stock control for salon products.
- Capture and post social media content (Canva and social skills are a plus but not essential).
- Track salon performance against targets and provide team feedback.
- Be the first point of contact for any client complaints and ensure smooth resolution.
- Attend management check-ins and liaise closely with the Salon Director.
What We Need From You!
- At least 2 years’ experience in a salon or beauty industry management role. We will also consider strong candidates from hospitality or other people-facing management backgrounds.
- Confident, people-first leadership style.
- Organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused.
- Strong communicator who gives constructive feedback.
- Comfortable juggling fast-paced operations with a positive attitude.
- Bonus: Social media savvy and familiarity with Canva.
