We are looking for an organised, and calm Front of House & Social Media Coordinator to keep our diary tight, our client experience smooth, and our social channels active and professional.

Your Responsibilities

  • Reception & Diary Management
  • Run the diary in Slick to keep the day flowing and on time.
  • Welcome clients, manage calls, messages, check-ins and payments.
  • Follow up on no-shows, cancellations and rebooking.
  • Handle client issues or complaints calmly; escalate only when needed.
  • Opening/Closing & Operations
  • Take responsibility for opening and closing the salon on certain days, leading the morning setup and evening shutdown so the space runs smoothly and feels welcoming from start to finish.
  • Check apprentices have completed their daily tasks and standards are met.
  • Order and manage stock to maintain appropriate levels.
  • Keep shared areas organised and client-ready throughout the day.
  • Record and track basic salon performance data in spreadsheets.
  • Social Media Ownership
  • Manage DKUK’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: scheduling, posting and community management.
  • Write clear, on-brand captions and keep a consistent posting rhythm.
  • Use Canva and scheduling tools to deliver content ideas provided by the Salon Director and team.
  • Respond to comments and DMs professionally and in line with DKUK’s tone.
  • Liaise with the Salon Director and stylists to keep the day coordinated.
  • Use Google Workspace and Slack for smooth internal communications.

Key Information For This Position

Role: Front of House & Social Media Coordinator
Location: DKUK, 191 Queens Rd, Peckham, SE15 2NG
Pay: £26,208 pro rota
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Rota

  • Monday: 9:30 am – 8:15 pm
  • Thursday: 12:30 pm – 8:15 pm
  • Friday: 9:00 am – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday: 8:30 am – 6:15 pm

Key Dates:

Your Attributes

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a salon or other high-pressure, customer-facing environment.
  • Strong organiser who stays calm under pressure.
  • Clear, confident communicator with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic content tools (training provided).
  • Social media savvy and proactive.

Success in this Role Means

  • The diary runs efficiently; the salon stays on schedule.
  • Clients feel well cared for from first message to checkout.
  • Social media is consistent, engaging and on brand.
