Meet Kate, our newest Graduate Stylist at DKUK.
Kate has been part of the hair industry for around three years, beginning her journey on reception before moving into hairdressing and starting her training. Now a Graduate Stylist at DKUK, she is continuing to build her skills, confidence and experience behind the chair.
For Kate, hairdressing is as much about people as it is about hair. She loves the human connection that comes with the job and enjoys helping clients take time for themselves, practise a little self-care and express their personality through their hair.
Friendly, curious and naturally easy-going, Kate enjoys being part of DKUK’s supportive environment, where both clients and the team come first. She is excited to keep expanding her skillset and growing in confidence as her career develops.
Away from the salon, you might find Kate spending her weekend watching football in the pub – perhaps not what everyone would expect from first meeting her!

Graduate Cutting and Styling: As a Graduate Stylist, Kate is continuing to develop her cutting and styling skills while building experience with a wide range of clients and hair types. She takes a thoughtful approach and is keen to create hair that feels comfortable, wearable and suited to the individual.
Personalised Appointments: Kate enjoys getting to know the person in her chair and understanding how they want to feel about their hair. Her friendly, curious nature makes her a good choice for clients who appreciate an appointment that feels personal rather than rushed.
Hair as Self-Expression: One of the things Kate loves most about hairdressing is helping people express themselves. She enjoys being part of the process of creating a look that feels more like you, whether that means a subtle refresh or trying something different.
Relaxed Client Care: Having started her salon career on reception, Kate understands the importance of the whole client experience, not just the finished hair. She wants appointments to feel welcoming, comfortable and like genuine time for yourself.
Developing Her Craft: Kate is continually expanding her technical knowledge and confidence as part of the DKUK team. She is enthusiastic about learning, gaining experience and developing into an increasingly accomplished stylist.
